Archieboy Affiliate Program — Terms

1. Commission

You earn 20% commission on qualifying purchases attributed to you, paid in USD via PayPal (default) or Wise.

  • One-time products: 20% on the purchase price.
  • Subscriptions: 20% on the second and every subsequent billing cycle. The first month does not pay commission — this protects against signup-then-cancel abuse.
  • Renewals are paid for life. As long as the customer keeps paying and you stay an affiliate in good standing, you keep earning.

2. Customer attribution window

When a customer first converts via your link or coupon, you are tagged to that customer for 12 months. During those 12 months, any purchase that customer makes on any participating Archieboy site credits you, even without a fresh click.

The window resets each time a customer clicks a different affiliate's link (last-click). Subscription renewals on the original subscription continue paying you for life regardless of the 12-month window — that window only governs new, separate purchases.

3. What is NOT commissionable

Some Archieboy sites — especially selfpublishing.pro — point users toward third-party services (editors, cover designers, ISBN registries, etc.) that we believe are useful but that we do not sell or process payments for. Referrals to those third-party services do not earn affiliate commission, because the customer's purchase happens entirely off our sites and we do not collect any payment from it.

Commission is only owed when the customer pays Archieboy directly for an Archieboy product or subscription. If you're unsure whether a particular page or product qualifies, your dashboard's Links & Coupons page is the canonical list — only domains shown there are commissionable.

4. Coupon codes and the discount cost

You can request a memorable coupon code per site (e.g. JANE10) for use on podcasts, newsletters, and offline channels. All affiliate coupons give the customer 10% off — flat, the same on every Archieboy site. Codes are subject to admin approval and must be A-Z + 0-9, 3-24 characters.

Each customer can redeem any given coupon code once. A customer who has already used your code on a particular site will see "code already used" if they try again on that same site.

Your commission is calculated on the post-discount price. So a 10%-off coupon on a $29 product:

  • Customer pays $26.10
  • Your commission = 20% × $26.10 = $5.22 (vs. $5.80 with no coupon)

This is industry standard — it means we share the discount cost roughly 80/20 between us and you. Use coupons strategically: they tend to lift conversion enough to be worth the small commission haircut.

5. Payment hold and refunds

  • Each conversion sits in pending status for 60 days before it becomes payable. This covers the bulk of refund and dispute windows.
  • If the underlying customer charge is refunded or charged back at any point — including after payout — the commission is reversed. Reversals after payout are deducted from your next payout.
  • If your 90-day chargeback rate exceeds 5% (or you accumulate 3 disputes in 90 days), payouts are automatically frozen pending review.

6. Payouts

  • Payouts are sent monthly on the 15th, covering the prior calendar month.
  • Minimum payout: $25. Balances under $25 roll to the following month.
  • PayPal is the default and recommended method — all you need to provide is your PayPal email. PayPal issues their own tax form (1099-K) directly to you once your activity crosses their threshold, so we do not need a W-9 or W-8BEN from PayPal-paid affiliates.
  • If PayPal isn't available in your country (or you'd prefer bank transfer), bank transfer (via Wise) is offered as an alternative. You do not need a Wise account — we use our Wise account to deliver funds straight to your bank. Bank transfer requires more setup from you: a valid W-9 (US persons) or W-8BEN (non-US persons) on file before your first bank-transfer payout, plus your bank details (account holder name, country, account number / IBAN, and routing / SWIFT / sort code). Non-US affiliates from countries with US tax treaties get the treaty's reduced withholding rate (often 0%); the default for non-treaty countries is 30%.

7. Account verification

When you register, we send a verification link to your email address. You can use the dashboard right away — but commission is held without payout until your email is verified. This is how we confirm we can actually reach you, and it protects against bots opening throwaway affiliate accounts. If you didn't receive the email, the dashboard has a "Resend verification email" button.

8. What is prohibited

  • Self-referrals. You may not earn commission on your own purchases. We detect this by email and IP.
  • Fraudulent traffic. Bots, click-injection, cookie-stuffing, fake accounts, or any other artificial conversion source.
  • Bidding on our brand or trademarks in paid search without prior written approval.
  • Spam. Unsolicited email, posting in forums where affiliate links are prohibited, or impersonating Archieboy or its founders.
  • Misleading claims about Archieboy products, pricing, or guarantees.

Violations may result in commission forfeiture and account suspension or closure.

9. Termination and changes

You may close your affiliate account at any time. Earned, unreversed commission above the $25 threshold is paid out on the next regular cycle.

We may update these terms with reasonable notice via email. Continued use of your affiliate account after notice constitutes acceptance.
