Bo takes a critical thinking-, reason-, and science-based approach to issues that matter with the goal of educating and entertaining. You create the show by submitting your questions here. Bo has a PhD in social psychology, but covers a broad range of topics including: Science Education (scientific method, what is / is not science, etc.), Success, Entrepreneurship, Motivation, General Psychology, Social Psychology, Positive Psychology (well-being, flourishing, happiness, etc.), Cognitive Psychology (belief, cognitive biases, memory, our flawed brain, etc.), General Social Science, Critical Thinking, Logical Fallacies, Humanism / Secularism, and even some Philosophy. All (reasonable) questions will be answered here, and some will be the material for the Dr. Bo Show.
The Toastmasters Podcast is like a radio talkshow featuring interviews with Toastmasters usually featured in the Toastmaster magazine. But unlike a radio show, a podcast is on the Internet, and available, for free, to anyone in the world with an Internet connection, and a connected device capable of playing audio.
The Toastmasters Podcast is co-produced by Toastmasters International and Archieboy Holdings, LLC, for our global audience of Toastmasters and those interested in public speaking and leadership.
This is a crash course, meant to catapult you into a world where you start to see things how they really are, not how you think they are. The focus of this course is on logical fallacies, which loosely defined, are simply errors in reasoning. As you complete each lesson, you can make significant improvements in the way you reason and make decisions. Your ability to recognize bad arguments will be enhanced as well as your ability to articulate why an argument is bad.
This is the audio version of the course, which is based on my ebook "50 Tips for Promoting and Marketing Your Ebook," which in turn is based on my own experience as an author, as well as advice and feedback from many other authors. My book "Logically Fallacious" has been in the top 10 books sold at eBookIt.com consistently, frequently making #1. In addition, as founder of eBookIt.com, I have a privileged perspective of what works when it comes to promotion and marketing, having worked with thousands of authors over the years. This course goes beyond the free ebook where, in each lesson, I provide a detailed audio and/or video explanation/demonstration of the idea.
Welcome to the wonderful world of psychology! This podcast is the audio segment of the course at http://www.introtopsych.com. It comprises the topics found to be most important based on a survey of 761 introductory psychology teachers at 490 schools (Miller & Gentile, 1998). These topics include introduction/methods, neuroscience, sensation/perception, learning, memory, thinking/intelligence, developmental psychology, personality, social psychology, and abnormal psychology. In addition, I have worked in sections on cognitive biases, stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination, along with the debunking of popular psychology myths that just don't seem to die.
